Campus Capital Community
Nearly two years ago Campus Capital created a pilot programme that enabled students to learn about high-growth businesses and venture capital from a real-life perspective. The programme was implemented across campuses of University of Sheffield, University of Manchester, Lancaster University, University of Oxford and Nottingham University. With nearly 100 students now successfully completed the programme we have now decided to open up our programme to all students across the UK with the launch of the Campus Capital Community!
But what’s this? The Community enables its members to access the curated knowledge at their convenience, interact with investors and startup founders during exclusive webinars and increase the number of connections in VC world through community events. In addition, community members will be able to interact with like-minded students, both from their own university and across the UK, and also be informed about internship opportunities and job placements within the world of VC with tips on how to increase their employability skills. Last but not least, for those who want to gain a first hand experience investing Real Money into Real Startups, the community will give all members the chance to go through a competitive enrollment process to become part of an on-campus Student VC team. Student VCs are exposed to every stage of a real-world investment experience from deal sourcing and analysis process all the way through to learning how to build and scale high-growth businesses.
Don’t have experience in business or investments, don’t worry! Campus Capital Community is inclusive, and we encourage students from all degree programmes to enrol if they are aspiring investors, striving entrepreneurs or technology obsessives.
We believe that diverse community will have more interesting conversations. Imagine how great for a finance student is to hear a simple explanation about how certain product uses AI from an engineer’s point of view. Or how refreshing for an engineer is to really understand all the questions he needs to answer about his business model. You only need a willingness to learn, meet people and have a little bit of fun along the way.
